John Cooper has announced his retirement from the board of bulk rail and network operator Aurizon.
Cooper has decided to retire from the board, a position he has held since April 2012, for health reasons.
Aurizon chairman Tim Poole thanked him for his contribution and support.
“John has been a force for positive change during his time as a director of Aurizon. He has been instrumental in our focus on safety, people and culture and leadership renewal as we execute our transformation,” Poole said.

Cooper has 35 years’ experience in the construction and engineering sector, previously being director of NRW Holdings, WestConnex and UGL Limited.
