CBH Group reveals partnership with Scitech

Grain industry

CBH Group has partnered with Scitech in a move to showcase the global significance and innovation behind Western Australia’s (WA) grain industry.

The state will see the launch of the CBH Global Food Solutions exhibit, which will move WA’s grain industry right into the heart of the city and invite audiences to explore the vital role of regional growers and STEM in global food systems.

CBH Group chief stakeholder in relations and sustainability, and strategy officer David Paton said that this is an invaluable opportunity for people in the industry to connect and help to shape the future of Australian agriculture.

“Grain growing is at the heart of regional WA, yet it often goes unnoticed. This exhibit showcases the innovation, scale, and global impact of our grain industry, while celebrating the crucial role of the people and technology that drive it,” he said.

“WA growers are the world leaders in grain production and the WA grain industry itself is dynamic, high-tech, and globally connected, through this collaboration CBH aims to deepen community understanding of the vital role WA growers play in feeding the world and to foster a greater appreciation for the grain industry more broadly.”

The exhibition will visually detail the journey of grain from WA farms to international markets like Japan and showcase new technologies and farming practices that WA growers are using to overcome agricultural challenges.

Scitech chief executive officer Dr John Chappell said that the event will be part of its Here, There and Everywhere exhibition, which is Scitech’s largest gallery transformation in 37 years with 17 new exhibits.

“Thanks to the support of CBH Group, visitors to Scitech can discover how WA farmers are using science and technology to produce food that is eaten here and overseas, contributing to a stable food future” he said.

“We’re excited to showcase WA science stories like food production, helping to spark curiosity, inspire engagement with science, and highlight the endless possibilities of science and technology.”

The CHB Food Solutions exhibit is open to the public at Scitech.
