Concetti, an Italian manufacturer of weighing and filling systems, has designed a machine that offers clean, efficient and safe automatic bagging for flour packaging.
The IMF automatic bagging machine is designed for pre-made, open-mouth paper bags ranging from five to 25kg.
It combines high output (up to 800 bags/hour) with precision, thanks to a double net weigher and screw feeder. Powerful dust extraction and airtight moving parts help maintain a clean, safe working environment.
A key innovation is the use of pinch bottom open mouth (PBOM) bags, a modern alternative to traditional valve bags. These open-mouth bags are sealed using a fold and hot-melt glue reactivation system. The result is a fully closed bag with excellent product protection and a clean, regular shape – ideal for stable palletising.
While previously more expensive, pinch top bags are now increasingly cost-competitive, with a typical difference of just $0.20–0.40 per 25kg bag compared to valve bags.
