One of China’s largest infant milk formula powder plants is under construction with commercial production planned to begin in the second quarter of 2020.

The new plant is being built for Shijiazhuang Junlebao Dairy Co., one of the largest dairy processing companies within the Hebei Province. The company entered the infant milk formula powder market in 2017, with production line technology located at its Junlebao factory located in Junyuan.

The new plant is being build adjacent to the current infrastructure and includes supplying wet mixing, evaporation, drying and downstream powder handling. One of the central components of the plant is a multi-stage spray dryer, which combines spray and fluid-bed drying over a three-step process. The plant has an expected production capacity of six tonnes per hour.
