Flexco Australia has released a new ultra-lightweight cleaning pole for mining operations.
The company aims to reduce the risk from serious lost-time injuries by reducing the amount of manual handling needed during cleaner installation.
Flexco’s lightweight pole is 60 per cent lighter when compared to other standard mild steel cleaner poles.

This was done to make the product easier to lift, carry and install, allowing operators to optimise safe lifting procedures on site.
The pole also uses a universal plate, which allows for a variety of Flexco primary and secondary cleaners to be fitted to the pole. The company has designed the plate to be versatile in order to make it easy to stockpile, in case of any unscheduled downtime.
Flexco produces products and solutions for splicing, belt cleaning, belt tracking, spillage and slipping uses.
