GrainCorp has released its harvest update for the week starting Monday, 27 October 2025, indicating a significant surge in Queensland.
Queensland saw a spike from 512,900 in the last report (20 October 2025) to 1,049,900 total grain receivals. The southern region of Goondiwindi recorded substantial receival volumes of barley, wheat, and chickpeas.
Across Queensland, New South Wales (NSW), and Victoria, total grain receivals increased from 977,100 to 1,561,000.
NSW jumped to 507,600 from 460,900, and Victoria saw a minor increase to 3,500 from 3,300 the week prior.
“In northern NSW, deliveries of canola, barley, and wheat picked up in Moree and Burren Junction, with the broader region expected to move into full swing in the coming week,” GrainCorp said.
“Conversely, the southern NSW harvest is only just beginning, as early canola and barley receivals make their way into the northern parts of the region. The majority of the areas are still preparing.”
In Victoria, early deliveries of barley have commenced in the Northern Mallee and Swan Hill regions. Recent rainfall has provided a valuable late-season boost to crops across other parts of the state.
“GrainCorp encourages growers to stay in regular contact with their local site managers for the latest updates on deliveries and segregations,” the company said.
