Haver & Boecker delivers all-in-one smart packing solution

Haver & Boecker

Haver & Boecker has announced its new Integra IV series packing machine as an all-in-one plug ‘n’ pack solution complete with AI-readiness. The machine can be fully integrated with the company’s QUAT²RO artificial intelligence technology suite to deliver a complete smart packing solution for manufacturers of bulk powdery products.

By combining intelligent vision-based AI systems with a fully integrated valve bagging machine, the Integra IV enables manufacturers to move beyond traditional mechanical packing toward data-driven, automated quality assurance. For Australian producers handling minerals, chemicals and building materials, the solution offers a practical pathway to improved productivity, safety and quality control.

At the core of the system is QUAT²RO, Haver & Boecker’s AI technology suite, which continuously monitors critical steps in the packing process. QUAT²RO Bagcheck prevents incorrect products being filled into the wrong bags by scanning each empty bag before filling and stopping the process if a mismatch is detected. QUAT²RO Valvecheck improves bag application accuracy by ensuring valve bags are correctly opened prior to filling, increasing production by an average of 10%.

Safety and quality are further enhanced through QUAT²RO Matexcheck, which uses high-definition cameras to detect bag bursts in real time and immediately halt the process, reducing operator risk and clean-up time. QUAT²RO Sealcheck monitors bag closures as bags move from the packer to the palletiser, ensuring improperly sealed bags do not leave the facility.

Together, these AI-driven systems transform the Integra IV into a smart packing platform that actively prevents errors, reduces waste and delivers consistent product quality.

Smart design meets plug ’n’ pack integration

The Integra IV series is designed as a fully integrated Plug ’n’ Pack system, combining the packing machine, bag applicator and discharge system into a single enclosed unit. This integrated approach reduces installation time, commissioning effort and maintenance complexity – key advantages for Australian bulk handling operations focused on uptime and operational efficiency.

The housed valve bagging system supports up to four filling spouts and accommodates a wide range of bag sizes. It can be configured with either impeller-based or air-based filling and dosing units, allowing producers to match the system to different materials and throughput demands.

“The Integra IV series is designed to simplify operations while enabling smarter, cleaner packing,” said Haver & Boecker Australia sales engineer Alex Santi. “Each machine is configured to specification, offering a flexible solution for industries where safety, hygiene and efficiency are critical.”
