International conference on bulk materials handling invites engineering experts

The 13th International Conference on Bulk Materials Storage, Handling and Transportation has drawn researchers and industry together to share knowledge across the two communities. ABHR reports.

The 15th International Conference on Bulk Materials Storage, Handling and Transportation (ICBMH 2026) is coming to Fremantle, Western Australia in July 2026.

Fremantle is a vibrant port city that is part of the Perth metropolitan area, known for its maritime history, Victorian architecture and UNESCO-listed sites.

As advancements continue in the development, research, application and implementation of the many aspects of bulk materials storage, handling and transportation, this conference will provide an exceptional forum for practitioners, researchers and designers to come together to review and exchange ideas and experiences in established, new and emerging technologies with the many others who deal with bulk materials on a daily basis, both nationally and internationally.

The ICBMH invites professionals in the greater bulk materials handling community to come together over three days to share their knowledge in this unique field, from all sectors of industry, from smaller scale process plants through to the mining and minerals industries.

The conference organisers are particularly interested in industrial case studies and success stories, technical innovations from the field and applied research papers from industry and academia.

Prospective authors are invited to submit the title and a brief synopsis of their proposed paper (not more than 250 words) to Danielle Harris at info@icbmh.com. Guidelines for authors can be found on the conference website at icbmh.com.

ContiTech has signed on as the major sponsor for the event, with Fenner Conveyors sponsoring day one, Kinder Australia sponsoring day two, and Flexco Australia sponsoring day three. Belt Wise, Wagner Vulcanizers, and Agilitus are general sponsors of the conference.

This conference will be of particular interest to a wide range of industries including:

  • Mining and mineral production and processing
  • Power generation
  • Chemical and petrochemical process industries
  • Agriculture and biomass production and processing
  • Energy and environment
  • Food industry
