Blue Phoenix Western Australia has awarded Kerman Contracting a contract to design and construct a new incinerator bottom ash processing plant at Hope Valley in Kwinana, WA.
It will be the first Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) processing facility in Australia.
Kerman’s scope comprises the structural design as well as the structural, mechanical and electrical installation of the IBA processing facility.
“We are very pleased to be working with Kerman’s team, their approach was professional, transparent and innovative, key attributes of a partner we want to work with on an Australian first project,” Blue Phoenix Australia Managing Director Ian Lynass said.
Kerman’s Managing Director Chris Kerman said the business is proud to be part of the waste to energy project, as it “plays a significant role in how we will manage waste in the future and recover energy and other resources from it.”
