Kotzur has installed a screw flighting machine at its Toowoomba factory, allowing it to begin production of sectional flights for a wide variety of industries.
Sectional flights are individual 360° sections of helices or flights formed from flat plate. Individual sections are then welded together to form continuous flights for conveyors or augers or any machine with a screw flight requirement.
Helices are made from cold formed metal and are not heat treated to maintain physical strength. The individual flights are of high-quality to give a constant pitch angle, accurate fit to the shaft, and flush joins. Parts are issued ready for fabrication.

Kotzur’s helix machine can form stainless steel flights of food grade quality, contamination and mark free. It also can produce canted/angular flights, these flights are commonly used in equipment like decanters, centrifuges, etc.
Kotzur screw flights are suitable for screw conveyor, thermal screw conveyor, screw press, drilling augers, mining equipment, screw piles, snow blowers, spreaders, food processing equipment and many other applications.
