Leap Australia offers free training course

Engineers that design maintain and operate conveying systems often face problems such as conveyor run-off and spillage, dust emissions, build-up and blockage, chute, and belt wear.

Leap Australia aims to provide insight into the essential methodology for transfer chute design, analysis, and key considerations affecting performance through a free training course.

The course will cover aspects related to trajectories and the flow path that influence on material behaviour within transfer chute geometries and arrangements.

It will also cover the analysis of material characteristics of physical flow properties, their use in applying engineering mechanics (the continuum approach), and Discrete Element Modelling (DEM) simulations.

Over three sessions, attendants will develop key skills to assess the flow regimes of bulk solid materials handling and learn how to apply this knowledge to operational management.
