Metso completes acquisition of Shaorui Heavy Industries

Metso has launched a new line of mobile crushing and screening equipment in China, Shaorui Heavy Industries.

Metso has completed its acquisition of Chinese manufacturer of crushing and screening equipment, Shaorui Heavy Industries, purchasing the remaining 25 per cent of shares.

Shaorui Heavy Industries is based in Shaoguan, China, and manufacturers equipment aimed at the price and quality conscious mid-section market.

The transaction will see Metso becoming the sole owner of the company, owning 100 per cent of its shares and completing the acquisition made in September 2013.

“Shaorui business is growing and our expectations are positive,” said Metso President of the Aggregates Equipment business area, Markku Simula.

The news follows the launch of Shaorui Heavy Industries new line of mobile crushing and screening equipment in China.

The equipment has been designed for quarry contracting and demolition applications.

“The Chinese market for mobile crushing and screening equipment is one of the fastest growing markets in aggregates today,” Simula said.

“This is an exciting launch for us and an important addition to our offering to address the diverse customer needs.”
