Metso releases online plant planner

Metso has launched a digital plant planner to help design more productive and efficient crushing and screening plants.

Metso has launched a digital plant planner to help design more productive and efficient crushing and screening plants.

The tool, called My Plant Planner, is based on the company’s VPS and Bruno software. It allows users to design and simulate a crushing and screening circuit in 3D.

A configurator helps predict the general power consumption of the system and visualise a footprint of the system.

Users can pick and choose different types of crushers, screens and conveyors to get the right balance for the circuit and identify bottlenecks.

Factors such as capacity, load and power draw are updated in real-time as the circuit is designed and parameters updated.

Users can download a report that gathers all the details of the plant, including information on the chosen crushers, screens and conveyors.

Metso Vice President of Crushing Systems Guillaume Lambert said the company is excited about the launch of My Plant Planner.

“Our aim is to help our customers easily test different configurations and operating conditions to see how they affect process performance,” Lambert said.

“The tool allows you to either design and simulate a new crushing and screening plant in 3D or test how upgrading your current equipment can improve performance.”

My Plant Planner is available for free for anyone to use on Metso’s website.
