New CEO at Austin Engineering begins transition period

A new chief executive officer and managing director will formally commence their role at global engineering company Austin Engineering from July 1, 2025.

Sybrandt Van Dyk will serve in the role, and has commenced the handover process. He replaces the current chief executive officer and managing director, David Singleton.

Singleton will retire from the role on 30 June 2025 and will remain on the Austin Board in a non-executive director capacity.

Austin Engineering has also announced several changes to its board committees for the duration of the CEO transition. Van Dyk will step down from his role as chair of the of the audit and risk committee, and from his positions with the nomination and remuneration committee, and the safety committee. Van Dyk will serve as executive director for the handover period.

Austin Engineering designs and manufactures loading and hauling solutions, including off-highway dump truck bodies, buckets, water tanks, and related attachments. It supports both open-cut and underground mining operations.

The company is headquartered in Perth and has operations around the world and in Australia.
