New finance boss to steer WorleyParsons in tough times

Engineering firm WorleyParsons has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer to replace departing CFO Simon Holt.

WorleyParsons boss Andrew Wood named former Transurban CFO Tom Honan as the company’s new managing director finance on Monday.

“I am delighted to welcome Tom to WorleyParsons,” Wood said.

“I believe he will play a significant role in stewarding WorleyParsons through the current adverse market conditions and contributing to the company’s future success.”

Honan was most recently CFO of Federation Centres and has also held roles as CFO of Transurban and CFO of Computershare. He will commence the new role on December 1, 2015, and will be based in Melbourne.

“Tom will be a member of the Group Leadership Team and have overall responsibility for finance, information management, assurance, development, communications and investor relations,” the company explained.

Honan will replace Simon Holt, who will leave the company after a three-month transition period.

“I would like to sincerely thank Simon for his contribution and achievements as CFO,” Wood said. “I wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”
