Nominations open for the 2019 Australian Bulk Handling Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Australian Bulk Handling Awards, with companies and individuals working within the sector encouraged to apply.

The event, sponsored by SEW Eurodrive, Komatsu and Schneck Process, will involve a Gala Dinner event in Melbourne on 22 August 2019.

It aims to celebrate those companies and individuals ensuring the bulk handling industry continues to thrive.

Nominations are currently open for the following categories:

  • Innovative Technology: Individuals and companies that have introduced or developed a technology from 1 January 2018 that offers a significant benefit (such as cost reduction, safety improvements or decreased downtime) which differs from other market offerings.
  • Dust Control Technology, Application or Practice: Any new technology, applications or practices introduced or developed from 1 January 2018 that helps to control dust and provides benefits for companies implementing it.
  • Excellence in the application of gears, motors and drives: This category focuses on how an application has benefitted the implementing company and how it differs to others on the market.
  • Excellence in transport and/or conveying: Individuals or companies that go above and beyond in the sector to service the Australian market and are able to demonstrate the breadth or their role in transport or conveying.
  • Environmental Project of the Year: Environmental projects that have had demonstrative environmental benefits.
  • Best Practice in Safety: A project or initiative that has been launched from 1 January 2018 which has seen a significant increase in safety.
  • Supplier of the Year: This award is open to individuals or companies that operate within Australia and outlines the best practices of the nominee.
  • Bulk Handling Facility of the Year – Resources and Infrastructure: The facility must be located in Australia
  • Bulk Handling Facility of the Year – Manufacturing and processing: The facility must be located in Australia
  • The AW Roberts award: This award recognises an outstanding individual, and it not open for nomination.

Nominations will close on Friday 5 July 2019.
