Applications have opened for the 2026 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards, with businesses across the state invited to nominate ahead of a June deadline.
The annual program recognises exporters across a range of industries, including resources, manufacturing and agribusiness, with winners progressing to the national awards program.
Bundaberg based Marquis Macadamias won last year’s award for Agribusiness, Food and Beverage. Chief executive Ben Adams said the recognition had a huge impact on everybody involved in the business.
“It flows all the way back to the growers and just sharing that with them and giving them the experience that they are part of a winning organisation, and a winning industry is really good,” Adam said.
Entries opened on April 14 and will close at 11:59pm on June 12, with finalists expected to be announced in August. The awards ceremony is scheduled for October in Brisbane.
The awards are among Queensland’s highest export honours and aim to highlight businesses achieving international growth through trade.
In a statement, the Queensland Government said the program recognises exporters contributing to the state’s global trade performance and economic activity.
Minister for trade and investment Ros Bates said the awards provide an opportunity for businesses to showcase their international success.
“These awards highlight the businesses driving Queensland’s export success and creating jobs across the state,” she said.
Bates said exporters across sectors, including mining equipment, technology and services, play a key role in expanding Queensland’s global presence.
“Exporters are taking Queensland products and expertise to markets around the world,” she said.
The awards program is delivered by Trade and Investment Queensland in partnership with Austrade and includes multiple categories covering sectors such as resources and energy, advanced manufacturing and professional services.
Winners in national categories will advance to the Australian Export Awards, which recognise exporters at a national level.
The program is now in its 36th year and forms part of broader efforts to support export growth and international market expansion for Queensland businesses.
