Michigan-based Conveyor Components Company has unveiled the Conveyor Safety System, a new bundled safety solution designed to protect workers and equipment in conveyor operations.

The package combines several essential safety switches into one cost-effective system, aiming to reduce workplace accidents while improving operational efficiency.

Among the key components is the Model RS, a Pull Cord Safety Stop Switch, which enables operators in danger to halt the conveyor instantly by pulling a cord positioned along its side.

This quick action can prevent further damage. Available in both general-purpose and explosion-proof models, the Model RS is considered a vital inclusion in any conveyor setup.

Also included is the Model TA Belt Alignment Switch.

Installed in pairs at the head and tail pulleys, the switch prevents costly belt misalignments and entanglements and can act as either an alarm or a shutoff switch. By avoiding misalignment, operators can save significantly on repairs, replacements, and downtime.

Conveyor Components Company said the device can potentially save hundreds of thousands of dollars in operational costs by addressing damage before it escalates.

Speed and motion monitoring are addressed through two options: the Mag-Neat-O, a magnetically coupled motion switch that easily attaches to the tail pulley, and the Model CMS Compact Motion Switch, which offers a permanent monitoring solution. Both are available in general-purpose and explosion-proof designs.

By investing in the Conveyor Safety System, Conveyor Components Company said operators can safeguard their workforce while protecting valuable financial assets.
