The CSIRO’s Team Leader of Verification Services in Infrastructure Technology has been appointed as the Chair of the Board of Standards Australia.
Tracey Gramlick is the first woman to serve as the Chair of Standards Australia in the company’s almost 100-year history. She has more than 35 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, research and development, advocacy, management and marketing roles in several ASX listed, private, not for profit and government enterprises and as a non-executive director.
In her previous role as Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director of the Australian Window Association, Gramlick served as a member representative and on the Standards Australia Council. She has also served as Chair of several Standards Australia technical committees, and as an Australian delegate to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Gramlick was first elected to the Standards Australia Board in 2017. Her appointment follows the retirement of Richard Brooks, who reached his maximum term of six years as Chair.
Brooks said he was proud of what was achieved in the last six years through his tenure as Chair.

“I am incredibly pleased that Tracey will succeed me as Chair. I do not doubt that her skills, knowledge, commitment and dedication will serve her well through her term.”
Gramlick said it is an honour to be appointed as Chair of Standards Australia.
“I look forward to working with the board and the management team to achieve our mission of empowering Australian communities. Much has been done, and there is much more to do,” she said.
Standards Australia’s Chief Executive Officer Adrian O’Connell congratulated both Richard Brooks and Tracey Gramlick.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Richard as Chair over the last six years. Richard is a man of great integrity and commitment and his contributions to Standards Australia have been substantial. I look forward to continuing to work with Richard over the coming year in his final year as a director of Standards Australia,” O’Connell said.
