Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions has established a new million-dollar service centre in Brisbane, strategically located to support its customers on the east coast as well as in Oceania.

It facilitates the warehousing and servicing of wear and spare parts, equipment refurbishment, engineering and field service revamps.

A 350-square metre office is also included alongside 1000 square metres of warehouse and workshop space, with room for 30 employees.

“As we want to offer the best possible services to our customers, we are continuously expanding our service offering in the regions,” Thyssenkrupp Service Business Unit Chief Executive Donald Weir said.

The investment was considered a logical consequence after many successful years in Australia by Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions chief executive Andrew Howie.

The facility allows Thyssenkrupp to co-locate engineering and project staff with its service personnel, according to Howie.

“For our clients in the mining, cement and chemical industries, this means they benefit from an integrated project life-cycle approach, incorporating the latest products and technologies,” he said.

Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions is a business area dedicated to the engineering, construction and maintenance of industrial plants and systems.
