Metso is launching two new crushing and screening plant solutions that it claims will lead to significant resource and time savings for mines.

The solutions come in the form of new stations, called FIT and Foresight stations, and offer a range of ways to make maintenance easier and quicker.

FIT stations are designed with a focus on speed and flexibility. There are two stations to select from – a recrushing station and a jaw station. The steel structures are supplied in modules that fit into containers to make transportation easier as well as reducing on-site welding.

Metso claims the container delivery reduces delivery time by up to 25 per cent compared to similar crushing and screening plants, with erection also reduced by up to 15 per cent.

The Foresight stations are equipped with smart automation technology, including Metso Metrics, VisioRock, levels sensors and crusher variable-frequency drive.

These features aim to improve crusher speeds, preventative maintenance and optimise production levels up to 6000 tonnes per hour. The MP cone crusher station features a scalping MF screen and an MP Series cone crusher.

Metso Vice President, Crushing Systems Guillaume Lambert said the company has experience in delivering crushing and screening plants with over one hundred installations globally.

“We also understand the needs of customers today in the evolving industry. That is why we are using our legacy and expertise to introduce these modularised crushing stations that focus on CAPEX reduction and shorter lead times.”

Both stations come with Metso equipment and technology to help in demanding mining applications.
