Viterra’s first harvest report for 2026

Viterra

Viterra has reported 5,325,317 tonnes of grain receivals across its network for the 2025/26 harvest to 4 January 2026, with growers delivering more than 300,000 tonnes during the week of 29 December to 4 January.

According to the weekly harvest report, receivals were spread across the company’s three major regions, including Western (2,249,112), Central (2,162,991), and Eastern (913,214).

Viterra senior manager supply chain Australia Derek Robinson said the network continued moving grain through its system over the New Year period, with shipping operations active across all six South Australian port terminals. By 1 January, the company achieved a milestone of one million tonnes of grain shipped for the season.

“So far we’ve loaded more than 30 vessels on behalf of seven exports with wheat, barley, and lentils headed to 16 countries,” Robinson said.

“This achievement highlights the efforts of our employees who have been continuously loading vessels since October and is supported by our road and rail logistics partners who work with us to move grain from upcountry to port.”

Although deliveries have begun to slow as many growers complete harvest, certain regions remained active over the holiday period. Sites in the Southeast operated on New Year’s Day, and the Wolseley facility set an all-time receival record following expansions completed prior to harvest.

Viterra eastern region operations manager Andrew Cannon said this reflects the strong season local farmers are experiencing and support for the upgraded Wolseley site.

“This is a fantastic result for farmers in the Southeast who are having an exceptional season,” Cannon said.

“It’s also a credit to our team at Wolseley who have done an outstanding job keeping grain moving safely and efficiently. It’s great to see the site so well utilised following the significant improvements made before the harvest.”

The next monthly receivals report will be released on Tuesday 2 February 2026.
