Vortex provide machinery to American coffee manufacturer

Vortex Global has supplied a Tennessee-based coffee manufacturer with Wye Line Diverters and Roller Gates to improve operations.

Among the equipment that Vortex supplied was its Quantum Series wye line diverter valve. The valve has a double acting air cylinder actuator, and is rated for 82 degrees Celsius maximum continuous service.

The inlet has a straight through conveying line design for easier installation of multiple diverters, and is recommended when conveying primarily through one line or when handling abrasive material. The air cylinder is equipped with a magno-piston for use with magnetic reed position indication switches.

The company also supplied a four-way Quantam Series wye line diverter valve, which has an aluminium body with live loaded, wear compensating seals with a 304 stainless steel blade. Inlet and outlet weldments are constructed from carbon steel, and the material contact is carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, and polymer.

It features double acting air cylinder actuators, equipped with a magno-piston for use with magnetic reed position indication switches. The inlet and outlet have a “wye” configuration and tube stubs for compression coupling connection. The valve is rated 82 degrees Celsius maximum continuous service, with PET pressure plates backed with a foam voids filler and live loaded natural rubber load steels.

Vortex also supplied a roller gate valve made from 6061-T6 aluminium with a stainless steel blade and seal retainers. The frame has milled access slots, allowing the client to remove and replace bonnet seals while the gate valve remains in service.
