Not all conveyed materials are the same, and therefore, not all lining media should be the same.
Blockages and flow problems may be encountered because of poor chute design and varying moisture content. Each lining application must be evaluated properly, taking into consideration all aspects of the material being handled. These factors determine the grade, material and style of the lining media used.
Some factors to consider include:
- Material/particle size and concentration
- Material moisture content & environmental conditions
- Impact strength
- Abrasion
- Chute shape and head room restriction
Kinder Australia can offer lining media to suit a wide range of applications, to stop common issues such as bridging/arching, caking, ratholing and wear.
K-Slip
The K-Slip rubber backed ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) flow liner is a low co-efficient of friction thin polyethylene lining material, with a synthetic rubber backing.
The thin flexibility of Kinder Australia’s K-Slip rubber backed UHMWPE flow liner allows almost any complicated shape to be lined including bins, hoppers and chutes, providing a reliable and effective uniform surface and therefore improve the controlled rate of flow. The application to a metal surface is by normal cold rubber bonding.
K-Slide
K-Slide UHMWPE is a low friction lining material with good abrasion resistance and excellent corrosion resistance.
Reducing wall friction is the key to solving many common materials flow issues, such as bridging, rat-holing and caking. K-Slide UHMWPE Low Friction Liner may improve flow in poorly optimised bin/chute designs or applications with varying moisture content.
K-Slide UHMWPE is available in a range of grades, thickness and sheet sizes to cover many applications with anti-static and ultraviolet stabilised options also available.
K-Floshield
K-Floshield polished high chrome Liner is an extreme abrasion resistant and low friction wear liner solution. Subject to technical advice K-Floshield can be highly effective against blockage and hang up problems within a multitude of heavy-duty applications.
Extra hard chromium carbide hard face is fused onto a mild carbon steel base plate. The pre-polished top layer ensures excellent flow characteristics and is ideal for applications where material hang up or cohesive bulks materials are a major concern.
K-Floshield maintains the efficiency, integrity and performance of processing bins, buckets, chutes, hoppers, pugmills and other materials handling equipment.
